The short version
We pass your mail on and we do not keep it. We hold your name, your email address and the addresses you have created, because the service cannot work without them. We do not sell any of it and we do not advertise against it.
Your mail
A forwarded message is handed to your provider and then it is gone from our side. There is no mailbox holding it, so there is nothing for us to read, scan or hand over, and nothing for us to lose.
Our mail server keeps a delivery log, as every mail server must, recording that a message went from one address to another and at what time. It records the addresses and the timing, not the contents. Those logs rotate off the server on the host's own schedule.
What we store
- Your name, email address and password, as your Web For Actors account.
- Each address you create, the address it forwards to, and when it was made.
- The outgoing mail password for each address, so it can be shown to you again.
- If you paid, the amount, the date and the payment processor's reference.
We never see or store your card number. Card details go straight from your browser to Braintree, our payment processor.
Who else sees it
Our host, who runs the mail server. Braintree, if you paid by card. Nobody else. We do not share or sell your details, and we will not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.
Deleting things
Removing an address removes the forwarder and its record. To close your account entirely, ask us and we will remove it and everything attached to it, including the Web For Actors account, if that is what you want.
Cookies
One session cookie so you stay logged in. Analytics on the public pages, which tell us how many people read the setup instructions and nothing about who you are.
