What this service is

Actor Email gives you an email address on one of our domains and forwards everything sent to it to an address you nominate. It also gives that address an outgoing mail login so you can send from it. It is not an inbox: we do not store your mail, and there is nothing here to log into and read.

Who can use it

Premium members of Web For Actors get it as part of their membership. Everyone else pays $19 once. Either way you may hold up to 3 addresses at a time on our domains.

Payment and refunds

The $19 is a single payment. There is no subscription, nothing renews and we will not charge the card again. If you change your mind within thirty days, reply to your receipt and we refund it in full.

Your addresses

Addresses are first come, first served, and are yours for as long as you want them. If you remove an address the name returns to the pool and anybody may take it, so treat removal as permanent.

A small set of names is reserved on every domain - admin, support, postmaster and similar - because mail sent to them has to reach us.

Acceptable use

These addresses are for an actor's own professional correspondence. Do not use one to send bulk or unsolicited mail, to impersonate somebody else, or for anything illegal. We will remove an address being used that way, without a refund, and we do not need to warn you first.

Forwarding to an address you do not control is also not allowed. It is how mail loops and bounce storms start, and it is how a domain ends up on a blocklist that affects every other member on it.

What we can and cannot promise

Mail is forwarded on a best-effort basis. We do not control the receiving provider, and providers do occasionally reject or filter forwarded mail regardless of what we do. We cannot guarantee delivery of any individual message, and we cannot recover a message that was not delivered, because we do not keep a copy.

We may have to stop using a domain - for instance if it lapses or has to be given up. If that ever happens to a domain you are on, we will tell you well in advance and help you move to another one.
